I managed to ski 10 months in a row on my first attempt from October 2012 through July 2013. I’m currently a couple weeks out from month 11 on my second attempt!
Here’s a re-cap of my first attempt:
Month 1: October 2012: Grinnell Glacier, Glacier National Park, Montana
Month 2: November 2012: Lost Trail Pass (pre-season), Bitterroots, Montana
Month 3: December 2012: Lost Trail Pass, Connor’s first-ever day on skis! (Pizza or french fries?)
Month 4: January 2013 : Snowbowl – best powder day EVER!
Month 5: February 2013: Mt. St. Helens, Washington
Month 6: March 2013: Mt. Hood
Month 7: April 2013: Mt. Hood
Month 8: May 2013: Saint Mary, Bitterroots, Montana and Mt. St. Helens
Month 9: June 2013: Mt. Adams, Washington
Month 10: July 2013: Mt. Hood
And then I managed to be on call or caving the entire month of August, 2013. It was great year for caving in the Scapegoat, but I broke my streak. It was inspiring, and this time I’m hoping for at least 100 months! Okay, I’ll take 12 months to start…Wish me luck!
